While Trump and DeVos are rolling back important protections, New York has an opportunity to step up and defend students and taxpayers. @NYGovCuomo, @AndreaSCousins, and @CarlHeastie should pass the For-Profit Accountability Act and put our students’ needs before private profits.
Predatory for-profit colleges target New York’s most vulnerable students and leave them drowning in debt—and often no closer to finding a job than before they started. The For-Profit Accountability Act will be an important safeguard for students and taxpayers.
